Ready to start planning your wedding on the french riviera ?
Bienvenue ! Welcome on my blog, I am Cathleen, destination wedding planner based in Nice, on the French Riviera. My mission is to create and imagine beautiful event experiences for an international discerning clientele. So in order for you to get to know me better, here is a few Q/A I have answered to present myself and my work.

What did you do before you became a destination wedding planner?
When I finished my business school, I have started to work in the event industry. It has been evidence for me. I was made for this job. At first, I was planning corporate events for companies in different fields such as medical industry, employment, racehorses, or entrepreneurship. But I finally realized that I would like to run my own business. As while organizing corporate events, I was willing to add sense to my work and create a more personal relationship with my clients. Private events and so wedding planning came to my mind in 2017… and here I am.
Why did you choose the South of France to plan weddings and events?
I was born in Nice, on the French Riviera. I grew up between the French Riviera and Provence as I spend all my holidays with my cousins at my grand pa’s house. So we can say that I am a southern girl for sure! During my studies, I moved to Rotterdam in Netherlands, Paris, and Lille (city in the north of France) and I Like to travel a lot. But I feel like my heart is beating faster where the sun shines. The French Riviera is my home, and I would never imagine living anywhere else. So when I decided to launch my own business, I knew it will be in the South of France.
Which part of the wedding planning do you enjoy most?
The scouting of the venue for sure, I like to imagine the project and to help my clients to envision themselves just right there surrounding by their families and friends during their wedding day. The design process is also one of my favorite parts as it goes with the venue to create the atmosphere of the event.
Which part of a wedding do you enjoy most?
The all day is very exciting for me! It’s the achievement of many months of work – sometimes a year or more. I really enjoy when we are doing the setup, all the details come together, and the project finally gets alive! However, the ceremony is always an emotional moment for me. And I also do like the entrance in the dinner area, when everyone is admiring the decoration under the magnificent light of the golden hour.
What do you like the most about working with your clients?
Organizing a wedding is a high responsibility and always a new challenge, so I like when my clients get to know me and trust me. Creating this relationship is essential. Then, I like to consider my clients as my best partners in the project, their wedding project. My mission is to guide them and elevate their wedding to the next step.
